Antariksha Sanchar - Percussion Automaton

A concept and illustration created for the game Antariksha Sanchar, based on a brief from the narrative team. This one is cheerful, colourful, and larger than life.

The Automaton is a musical machine whose belly doubles as a Ghatam, the traditional Indian earthen pot drum. Seated in a grand, idol-like pose with an ornate halo behind him, he conducts his minion creatures to play in rhythm — part performer, part deity, part clockwork contraption. The design draws on Indian classical iconography while keeping it playful and mechanical.

The work covers the full process — sketches, design iterations, and animations — with a focus on making the character feel festive and full of energy while staying rooted in the game's world.
