Character concept for a recurring NPC in Antariksha Sanchar — a mysterious old lady who travels across the country, carrying with her a contraption that holds an idol of a god, something she holds deeply sacred and considers her entire world.
Despite her unsettling appearance, she has a soft spot for children — gifting them handstitched toys she makes herself. The kids, however, are more spooked by her than charmed. That tension between her warmth and her eeriness was the core design challenge — making her feel memorable and layered rather than simply strange.
The goal was to create a character that stays with the player long after the encounter, the kind of NPC you remember even when the story moves on. The work covers sketches, colour explorations, and the final concept illustrations.
